About this Event

GAC Theatre is proud to present A One Act Play Festival!

This Festival will feature two short plays presented back-to-back that will be taken to the Georgia Theatre Conference competition and GHSA Region this fall. In addition to reserved seating, you also have the option to support the performers with flowers and by wearing show buttons! See ticket options for seating, flowers, and buttons on the order page. Sample button artwork is shown below.

Middle School One Act - The Little Prince

The Middle School’s production of The Little Prince tells the story of a world-weary and disenchanted Aviator whose sputtering plane strands him in the Sahara Desert and a mysterious, regal “little man” who appears and asks him to "Please, sir, draw me a sheep." During their two weeks together in the desert, both the Little Prince and the Aviator gain unique insight and a new understanding of how to laugh, cry, and love again.

High School One Act - Steel Magnolias

The action of Steel Magnolias is set in Truvy’s beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done. In the High School’s One Act Play Competition the audience will meet the funny, marvelous, and truly amiable women of this small town and watch them discover the underlying strength in their love and support for each other in good times and bad.
