About this Event
Looking for a simpler, more supported way to help your teen through the Texas driver education process?
The Mr. Streetwise Hybrid Parent-Taught Driver Education Program is designed for teens ages 15–17 in the DFW area and gives families more than just an online course. We help parents and students understand the process, stay on track, and build safer driving habits from the beginning.
We are currently accepting the first 100 participants into our beta program for only $150.
Your $150 Beta Enrollment Includes:
- Mr. Streetwise Parent-Taught Driver Education Course
- Small-group parent and student support sessions
- Step-by-step guidance through the Texas licensing process
- Tips to help parents teach their teens safely and effectively
- Driving tips and skill guidance for students
- 1 professional driving lesson
- Participation in 1–2 parent/student seminar events
- Guidance on the documents needed throughout the DPS process
- Road test preparation guidance
Important: Parent-Taught Program Guide
Families must separately obtain the required Texas Parent-Taught Driver Education Program Guide through the state.
The cost of the official Parent-Taught Program Guide is NOT included in the $150 program price.
The adult serving as the Parent-Taught instructor must also meet current Texas eligibility requirements.
Your Roadmap
Throughout the program, we will help guide your family through the major steps, including:
1. Enrolling in Parent-Taught Driver Education
2. Completing the required Parent-Taught process
3. Preparing for the learner license
4. Completing the required coursework
5. Completing behind-the-wheel practice
6. Attending parent and student support sessions
7. Completing your included professional driving lesson
8. Preparing for the road test
9. Completing the final licensing process
Students under 18 must meet all current Texas requirements before becoming eligible for the road test and provisional driver license.
Optional Add-On Services
Additional services may be purchased as needed, including:
Expedited DPS Appointment Setup — $35
We assist with locating an earlier available DPS appointment. Appointment availability is controlled by DPS and is not guaranteed.
Pre-Test Driving Assessment
Get a professional assessment before the road test to identify areas that may need improvement.
Official Road Test
Eligible students may schedule a DPS-authorized road test for an additional fee.
Additional Driving Lessons
Extra professional driving lessons may be purchased for students who need more practice.

Because this program includes digital course access, administrative setup, limited beta enrollment, seminar preparation, and reserved services, all payments are nonrefundable.
Registration does not guarantee DPS approval, learner-license issuance, road-test eligibility, passing the road test, DPS appointment availability, or issuance of a Texas driver license.
Families are responsible for meeting all current Texas Parent-Taught Driver Education and DPS requirements.
