Want to meet the REAL powerhouse behind all those Christmas deliveries? Want the lowdown on the patriarchal figurehead Santa and to see who really runs the show? Then ride with us, as we head to the Redhouse Glass Cone in Stourbridge to meet the one and only Mrs Claus. Leaving Cafe Nero Brindley Place at 10am we will make our way via canal & some busy roads to Brierley Hill where there may be a cheeky stop to admire the new Round Oak Steel Works Sculpture by Vince Thompson.
We'll then head to the Glass Cone to meet the woman of the season - Mrs Claus (who also happens to be my Mom - don't ask; growing up with Santa as a dad left me with elf esteem issues)
I've been informed there is a pop up cafe on site, run by elves - in a co-operative scheme. It's all very fair these days, I believe the Oompa Loompas are using legal precedents set by the elves for their own liberation, but I digress.....basically you will need some cash.
We will be coming home via the canal all the way to Brindley. This will involve riding through the Netherton tunnel so bring lights.
Total Distance will be around 50-60 km (30-40 miles) and we should be back at Brindley by 4pm ish.
Be prepared to get wet & muddy. Bring hot drinks & snacks.
Christmas decorations and/or jumpers are MANDATORY!!!
