MRLC Water Whisperers

Water Whisperers is an opportunity to come together and build our connections with the Mississippi River, ourselves, and each other!

Join us any time between 12:00pm and 5:00pm to relax and share a story with the River and listen for what the River has to share with you.

Why are we sharing our stories with the River?

To continue to build a relationship with the water that keeps us alive and well. Most of the region's drinking water comes from the Mississippi and sharing an important story about the lives we live from this water is a beautiful way to say thank you.

This installation of Water Whisperers is in collaboration with the Mississippi River Learning Center, a City of St. Paul project led by design firms VJAA and TEN x TEN. Forecast Public Art is leading arts-based community engagement to inform the site design. The future Mississippi River Learning Center will offer year-round environmental, cultural, and historical learning, as well as outdoor recreation experiences in Crosby Farm Regional Park, just downstream from Hidden Falls Regional Park.

After you share a story with the river, learn about plans for the Mississippi River Learning Center and share a story with the design team. Your stories and reflections will serve as inspiration and guidance for the architects as they continue their design process, and it is also an opportunity to share your wishes for the future site.
