On paper Mr Bruce’s music and performance really shouldn’t work. Hyper Pop, Glitch Pop, Art Pop, rattling amen breaks, anthemic dancehall, ambient death meditations. His body of work extends in many directions, but retains coherency through Mr Bruce’s distinctive voice and approach to subject matter. His music is designed for turbulent times where the need to dance, grieve and seek solace has never been more urgent.
Both as The Correspondents and a solo artist, Mr Bruce has achieved cult status for his live shows taking him as far as New Zealand, Australia and Chile where he played in front of audiences of over 10,000 fans, both old and new. Maniacal and balletic, his performance lands somewhere between contemporary dance and rave.
Following a summer packed full of festival dates, Mr Bruce will venture throughout his home country for his largest ever headline tour in support of his highly anticipated debut album, OK, released on state51 on 15th May 2026.
OK is a multi-genre masterpiece produced by Angus Kemp spanning hyperpop, garage, hip hop and ambient with guest vocals from legendary musician Brian Eno, cult US rapper Homeboy Sandman and emerging UK talent HAM. Together they navigate the subjects of grief, protest and a love of the ocean with extraordinary energy, dexterity and depth.
