Gwyneth Hughes’s first job in television was on the Yorkshire Television newsdesk. From there she became a Bafta-nominated documentary director specialising in history and true crime, moving into drama on episodes of The Bill and Silent Witness. Her original thriller miniseries Five Days, and her Tippi Hedren biopic The Girl, were both nominated for BAFTAs and the Golden Globes. Her classic dramatisations include The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and Vanity Fair. Gwyneth will be in conversation with writer and TV executive Ruth Pitt.
