Mozart with Conrad Tao - Finishing Touches Rehearsal

Start your morning off right with a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing our concerts to the stage. Finishing Touches gives our audience the opportunity to observe working rehearsals; selections from the program will be rehearsed at the discretion of the conductor.
Conrad Tao has made an indelible mark on the classical scene and major stages around the globe, and remains the sole classical artist recognized by Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” in the music industry. His long history with the Utah Symphony traces back to his debut at age 16 and a residency with the orchestra—now, this audience-favorite pianist returns to Abravanel Hall for a sublime performance in which he plays the role of both soloist and conductor.
“Peak Mozart” is highly subjective, but you just might find it in the splendor of his Piano Concerto No. 20 and Symphony No. 40. One of Mozart’s final symphonies, No. 40 is also one of his most popular and admired. You’ll find everything you love about the composer’s genius here: playful lyricism, instantly recognizable melodies, and moments of profound grace.
