After 31 years away from the Bowl, Zubin Mehta returns for an annual Bowl tradition that started under his baton. The LA Phil’s Conductor Emeritus leads the orchestra in Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony—a piece perfectly suited for a night under the stars, with its dazzling woodwind melodies and grand, dramatic exclamations. Garnering his decades worth of experience, violinist Pinchas Zukerman joins the LA Phil for an upbeat showpiece of a concerto that is expressive and celestial in its own right.
