This event will showcase many pieces of outstanding art made by a Syrian Refugee Artist, Abdulrahman Naanseh.
Syrian artist Abdulrahman Naanseh (b.1991) is an Artist Protection Fund Fellow (IIE-APF) and the 2022 Artist-in-Residence at George Mason University’s School of Art. Naanseh’s calligraphy is a personal response to the tangled narratives of religion and politics that characterize life in his native Syria, which Naanseh sees as essential to understanding the Middle East or the Arab region.
Along with this extraordinary art, we will also have items and goods for sale from our very own Arabesque Shop - a shop filled with cultural art, many of which are made by refugees or imported from Syria.
Refugee chefs from Mozaic kitchen will be preparing your delicious dinner.
We look forward to seeing you! Thank you for always supporting our cause!
