Join Ijams and Central Cinema for an incredible kick-off to our Movies Under the Stars. Not only will we be watching the 2003 rockin' film School of Rock, but we will start the night by jamming out with the kids from the School of Rock Knoxville band!
School of Rock starts out with Dewey Finn, a down-on-his-luck guitarist played by Jack Black, poses as a schoolteacher and secretly turns his class into a rock band — and shows them the liberating power of rock 'n' roll.
Doors open at 6 pm; School of Rock Knoxville Band will take the stage at 7pm; movie begins at dark (~8:30pm). Food trucks and the Ijams beer garden will have tasty meals, snacks, and beverages available for purchase. NO COOLERS AND NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL PLEASE. Dogs are allowed, but must be on leash at all times. Lawn chairs and blankets are recommended. This event is on the Visitor Center lawn.
