🩸 MOVIES IN MANSIONS: REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA (2008)
This is where Movies in Mansions gets a little...weird. The second movie in our Free Community Movie Mondays in October is not really in a mansion, but sometimes mansions have secret labs in the basement, right?
Repo! The Genetic Opera is a gothic rock musical starring Alexa Vega, Anthony Stewart Head, Paul Sorvino, Sarah Brightman, Bill Moseley, and Paris Hilton. Set in a future where a company repossesses the organs of customers who can't make their payments, it's part horror movie, part rock concert, and completely bonkers.
🎬 FUN FACT: The film was based on a 2002 stage musical of the same name. Director Darren Lynn Bousman went on to direct Saw II, Saw III, and Saw IV, making Repo! a particularly musical detour in his horror career.
