Movies in Clark Park: Harriet

Join us Friday, August 14th for a screening of Harriet (2019). The film will be screened beginning at sundown (approximately 8:20 PM) in the Clark Park bowl during fair weather. Bring a blanket or chair and join the fun!

From her escape from slavery through the dangerous missions she led to liberate hundreds of slaves through the Underground Railroad, don’t miss Harriet, the story of heroic abolitionist Harriet Tubman. Starring Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr. Joe Alwyn, and Janelle Monáe.

We make every effort to announce postponements or cancelations via our social media channels and emails sent to our event lists prior to a scheduled screening. Sudden changes in forecasts or conditions do occasionally force us to postpone or cancel after a movie screening has already begun. UCD requires dry conditions in the Clark Park bowl to screen films without risking damage to the park. UCD may elect to postpone or cancel film screenings due to the following conditions:

• Muddy conditions within the bowl from prior rain or flooding
• High winds
• The threat of lightning
• Forecasted or sudden rain that can potentially cause serious damage to the A/V equipment we rent to screen the films
