In his latest documentary, Ghost Elephants, Werner Herzog continues the tradition of blending obsession, mystery, and the strange beauty of the natural world. Created for National Geographic, the film follows a fascinating and almost mythical search deep in the forests of Angola. For more than a decade, conservation biologist Steve Boyes, a National Geographic Explorer, has been pursuing the legend of a mysterious herd known as the Ghost Elephants. These animals are said to live in the remote highlands of Angola, hidden in dense forests and rarely seen by humans. For years, they have existed somewhere between science and folklore. Free screening. Vegan snacks provided. Feel free to bring vegan potluck items to share. Discussion afterwards. RSVP required: https://www.meetup.com/vegan-415/events/317050407
