The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham is excited to announce a special movie event at Court Square Theater on July 23, 2024, at 6:00 pm. Doors open at 5:30, so come early for a picture slideshow and a chance to meet the community. This event will feature a screening of the critically acclaimed film "The Peanut Butter Falcon," preceded by a short presentation by The Arc’s staff and clients."The Peanut Butter Falcon" is an adventure story about a man with Down syndrome who runs away from a residential nursing home to follow his dreams of becoming a pro wrestler. Along the way, he befriends an outlaw who becomes his coach and ally. The film has garnered praise for its heartwarming narrative and exceptional performances, making it a fitting choice for an evening of fun community engagement and entertainment.
The suggested donation for admission to this inclusive movie event is $20 per person, or you may pay what you wish. Donations will be taken at the door and the proceeds will directly benefit The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham to help enrich the lives of its clients through scholarships and programming.
