Celebrate the 85th anniversary of this iconic cultural milestone, THE WIZARD OF OZ! Starring Judy Garland as Kansas farm girl Dorothy, this cinematic masterpiece premiered in August 1939 to widespread acclaim. Watch the film Wednesday, August 21st as it was originally seen on screen at the historic 1927 Aztec Shawnee Theater.
Tickets are $8.00 and available through the Aztec Shawnee Theater's website or in person the Theater's Box Office. This is likely to sell out, so please purchase in advance! Friends of Shawnee Town 1929 are Free with pre–registration by calling the museum at (913) 248–2360.
Doors open at 6:00 pm and the film starts at 7:00 pm. Cocktails, beverages, and snacks will be available for purchase, and purchases from the outside food trucks can be brought into the theater.
