Movie Loft jingles into December at Shadowbox Studio, full of holiday cheer and AI fear, with a screening of the 1990 dystopian sci-fi cyberpunk horror 'Hardware'! From director Richard Stanley ('Color Out of Space', 'Dust Devil', etc.) comes this metallic tale teeming with grease, sex, gore and post-apocalyptic violence. A space marine (Dylan McDermott) buys robot parts and gifts them to his sculptor girlfriend (Stacey Travis) for Christmas. But, uh-oh, the robot head is from a M.A.R.K. 13 cyborg, capable of rebuilding itself and very interested in killing. Along for the rampage are also the voice of Iggy Pop, Lemmy as a cab driver, and a thumping soundtrack full of those two plus PIL and Ministry (and a score by Simon Boswell)! As they say: "You Can't Stop Progress"
