Movie and Q&A: Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong, and WWTP Tour

Movie Screening and Q&A: Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong
About this Event

Please join us for pizza, popcorn, and a screening of the movie Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong, a documentary that explores the state of America's aging infrastructure by following the staff inside a municipal treatment plant in Portland, Maine, and examining their daily struggles. The screening will be followed by a Q&A d discussion focused on wastewater operations.

Immediately following the Q&A, we are offering an optional tour of Erie County's Southtowns Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility (AWTF), which is next door to the Gateway Building. The facility recently completed Phase 1 of an expansion project that will ultimately take it from a peak treatment capacity of approximately 40 million gallons per day (MGD) to a treatment capacity of 55 MGD. Phase 2 is scheduled to begin construction in early 2027. Please note that the tour is limited to 25 people.

Operator and Engineering Credits are pending.

Pizza, popcorn and drinks will be provided.

Please sign up separately for the Movie and Tour at the ticket link.
