We’re thrilled to feature two incredible guest authors:

📚 Jennifer Lader – author of Belonging to Bethlehem
A Bethlehem-based writer, Jennifer Lader explores the deeply human journey of belonging through stories from the city’s Jewish community. Her work reveals how connection is shaped by both personal effort and community, showing that even in a place rich with identity and tradition, people must find their own path to belonging. Through thoughtful storytelling, she highlights the power of small acts of inclusion and shared experience in creating a sense of home.

📚 Chidinma Onweni, MD
Dr. Chidinma Onweni’s journey spans from Nigeria to the United States, where she pursued her education and now practices Neurocritical Care at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. A new mother, her personal experience with hyperemesis gravidarum ignited a passion for awareness, treatment, and support for women facing this condition.

Her story begins like something ordinary—“food poisoning”—but quickly becomes something far more severe. As both physician and patient, she shares a powerful account of what happens when women’s suffering is minimized. Her experience challenges perceptions and leaves a lasting impact on how we understand and respond to maternal health.
