Presented in Collaboration with The Nature Conservancy in Colorado
Please join us for an evening of conservation and science-focused short films, panel discussions, and much more! The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is collaborating with The Nature Conservancy to present an evening of exploration through short films focused on community, nature, and curiosity. From the Colorado River basin to Zambezi River – we will learn about the fascinating ways that our commitment to conservation can lead to greater understanding and knowledge about our global community. We will be showing the following short films: Asking Less, Near the River, Usugilix Awakun, Judy's Creek - Discovering the Secret Life of the Streambed.
Following the films, a panel discussion with conservation experts will be moderated by The Nature Conservancy's Colorado State Director, Carlos Fernández - the panel includes The Nature Conservancy's Global Director of Freshwater Outcomes, Nicole Silk, as well as award-winning photographer and filmmaker, director of Asking Less - Pete McBride, and Denver Museum of Nature & Science Earth Science Research Associate, Bob Raynolds. Their combined knowledge and experience are sure to broaden your experience of these films and allow us a chance to dig even deeper into the gripping messages behind each. Find more information about The Nature Conservancy in Colorado here.
Join us after the films for a sweet treat and further opportunities to connect with nature and science. We can’t wait to see you at the Museum.
