Mountain Resource Center Open House

Mountain Resource Center (MRC) (www.mrcco.org) is a 2021
Impact100 Grantee based in Conifer. They provide a wide
range of social services in a special way to their clients living in
the rural foothills. Over coffee and a homemade brunch, we
will meet their staff and volunteers to learn more about what
they do and how they work.

It will be a lovely summer morning in cool and beautiful
Conifer. After our visit, Impact100 members and MRC
volunteers are invited to join us on an optional easy, and
beautiful hike nearby.

Brunch will be provided.
Wear appropriate attire if you plan to join the optional hike.

Sarah Kinzer, Chief Executive Officer of Mountain Resource Center

Sarah was hired as the CEO of MRC in early 2019. She has been
employed in direct-service agencies in the Denver Metro area
for the last 30 years. Sarah has served in non-profit leadership
roles since 2010, most recently as Vice President of Denver’s
The Gathering Place from 2014-2019. Most of her career has
been spent developing and implementing programs that serve
low-income individuals and families who are experiencing
homelessness, substance use, and mental health issues. Under
Sarah’s leadership, MRC has successfully met the community’s
changing needs during the COVID pandemic, created a focus on
equity and diversity, and increased individual donations by 60%.
She holds a BA in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University
in Los Angeles and a MS in Psychology from Regis University in
Denver. Sarah and her husband Marco live in South Denver and
have a blended family of 6 young adult children.
