This is a split, 2 weekend assessment - 1 & 2 October then 1 - 3 November (total 5 days)
The Mountain Training Mountain Leader scheme is designed for people who want to lead groups in the mountains, hills and moorlands of the UK and Ireland. If you love being out in the mountains and want to share your enthusiasm with others, become a Mountain Leader and you’ll never look back (unless you’re checking your group’s still there!). Snowdonia Walking and Climbing is an approved Provider of the Mountain Leader scheme training and assessment courses and runs them in Snowdonia throughout the year. Our instructors are all extremely experienced and active Mountaineering Instructors and Leaders. This course will be run from Bethesda, Gwynedd and make use of the excellent Snowdonia mountains. Candidates must meet the Mountain Training pre requisites:
1. Completed a Mountain Training Mountain Leader Training course
2. Have logged a minimum of 40 quality mountain days
£400 (non residential)
Bunkhouse accommodation available for £21 per night (the 2 nights on expedition are free)
