Most people think of the movie Dirty Dancing when they think of Mountain Lake or the lake that is sometimes a lake. That being said some of the best hiking trails in the state can be found at Mountain Lake. So if you are a fan of Patrick Swayze or love 360-degree views then come out with us to explore this historic area. The program fee includes leadership and transportation.

A parent or guardians must be present on this trip for participants under age 18. We will meet at the Public Works located at 1802 Courtland Rd NE, Roanoke, VA 24012.
Bring plenty of water (2 liters), snacks, lunch, proper clothing and footwear (good shoes or hiking boots), a backpack to carry all of your items and trekking poles if you use them. Just a reminder that dogs are not allowed on any City of Roanoke hike.
