Join the Mountain Alice Trio live at Gotahold Brewing for an afternoon of Americana music. Gotahold Brewing features award-winning craft brews and one of the best natural ampitheaters that Eureka Springs has to offer. This show will be taking place on Saturday, June 29th from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. -Mountain Alice is an Ozark Country String Band based out of Northwest Arkansas. Alice, who fronts the band with her pure and strong vocals, hails from Iowa. She moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas two years ago to pursue a music career after being exposed to bluegrass music through the Iowa hippie jam band scene. Her strong stage presence and pure vocals draw influences for the likes of Carole King, Patty Loveless, and Allison Krauss.
The band is comprised of Christopher “Slim” Parker, Dylan Hawf, and Jennifer Parker. Together the band creates a country sound that is authentic to Ozark music and traditional country acoustic music of the 60s and 70s. The songwriting is relevant to the modern soul. Slim Parker’s archtop guitar lead draws from the influences of Texas swing, traditional Nashville Country, and acoustic Deep South blues. Dylan’s fiddle playing displays the groove of hillbilly fiddle, but with cleanliness and precision that is at home in the concert hall. Jennifer Parker’s solid and confident upright bass playing grounds the band with foundational bluegrass tempo, timing, and groove.
