Mount Hope Cemetery Tree Planting

Troost Cemeteries comprises a group of 9 historic cemeteries in the Chicagoland area, some of which are ArbNet accredited arboretum! Last year, CRTI helped plant 11 native trees at Clarendon Hils, and this fall we will be planting at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

By adding 28 new trees throughout Mt. Hope, we will improve the species diversity, health, and native habitat cover in the cemetery.

No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome! CRTI will provide training on how to properly plant and care for trees. Come work alongside the CRTI team and other fantastic volunteers to help us dig holes, plant trees, mulch, and water.

• Please wear long pants and close toed shoes
• Dress for the weather- we will plant rain or shine!
• Make sure to bring a full water bottle, snack, and sunscreen. We will take care of everything else!
