We are thrilled to announce the return of the Salmon Bay Eagles #2141 Motorcycle Charity Run happening this summer. Hattie "Leggs" has over 40 years of experience and to pull this off, we need a few months to prepare. Our first volunteer meeting is on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 3pm.It started in 1998 when "Leggs", Blackjack and Chopper Dave met and decided they could do a motorcycle charity poker run with everyone they knew. Each year it grew and grew bigger. The run was so successful, the event happened every year for 11 years.
Now that Hattie "Leggs" Navarre is back, she is rebooting this run this year. It is an exciting event to put on and takes lots of hard work and fabulous volunteers! If you think you would be interested in helping out, come join the fun and learn all about the great charity ride which will happen Saturday, August 17, 2024.
How does a Poker Run work?
A poker run is an organized event in which participants, usually using motorcycles, must ride to five to seven checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run and win prizes while raising money for charity.
