Motivational Interviewing: Skills Lab

This 12-hour intermediate skills course builds upon Foundations, and it’s all about practice,
practice, practice! Research indicates ongoing consultation assists learners in effectively
implementing MI skills. Training is most often provided as two full days spaced out over 1-
2 months, or three 4-hr MI live virtual boosters offered once monthly for three months.
Skills Lab is often scheduled with smaller training groups, such as specific teams for more
customized practice and additional coaching and feedback from trainers.
Prerequisite: Level I.
