Motivational Interviewing: 2-Day Basic Training

Join us for a dynamic 2-day training on Motivational Interviewing at Colorado Christian University. Learn practical skills and techniques to enhance your ability to motivate and empower clients to make positive changes in their lives. This interactive workshop will provide hands-on practice and real-life scenarios to help you master the art of motivational interviewing. Motivational Interviewing is described as a conversation style and we will discuss how to apply this approach to a variety of client types, as well as enhance your personal communication skills.

Trainers:

This training is provided by Dr. Torrie Gilden in collaboration with Dr. Andreas Bienert of Colorado Christian University's School of Counseling. Dr. Gilden is the owner of Heart Spring Counseling Services, LLC in Wenatchee, WA . Dr. Gilden has been certified as a MI trainer and been offering MI trainings since 2019. She has provided trainings to a variety of professions, including school personnel, behavioral health providers, medical providers, public health workers, recovery coaches, mental health professionals, and more.
