Magic City Books and Gathering Place are proud to welcome Rachel Ignotofsky for a special public event on Wednesday March 11 at 6:00 pm. This free event will take place in the John Williams Lodge at Gathering Place, 2650 S. John Williams Way.Rachel Ignotofsky is the author and illustrator of of many nonfiction books, including the New York Times bestseller Women in Science and The Wondrous Workings of Planet Earth. With her first book Women in Science (2016), Rachel used her art to address the growing gender gap in STEM and shed a light on women’s stories. It became an instant success and was on the NY Times Best seller list for over 90 weeks.
The third book in her What's Inside series, What's Inside a Caterpillar Cocoon?: And Other Questions about Moths & Butterflies, garnered starred reviews from Kirkus and School Library Journal and is being published in paperback for the first time.
Rachel will be discussing her books and available to meet readers and sign books at the event on March 11.
