Mother's Day Afternoon Nerf Battle!

This one’s going to be pure chaos—in the best way.

We’re heading to Nerf City, Calgary’s indoor Nerf battlefield, for a series of fast-paced, referee-led battles. This is structured gameplay not just free-for-all shooting. Every match is organized, explained, and run by staff so everyone actually gets into the action right away.

You’ll be split into red vs blue teams and rotate through multiple game modes like capture the flag, search & destroy, and base attacks, depending on what’s running that session.

• Each game is fully supervised by a referee who explains rules and keeps things fair
• You’ll be issued blasters and protective gear; no need to bring anything
• Games are played in structured rounds (about 20–25 minutes total including setup and gameplay)
• Up to 30 players at once (15 per team) for real team battles
• Expect objectives like:
• • Tagging opposing players
  • Attacking/defending team bases
  • Capture-style missions and rotating modes

This is closer to paintball or COD-style gameplay (minus the pain) than anything casual.

You must arrive by 3:45 PM.

Nerf City requires early arrival for:

• Waiver check
• Safety briefing
• Gear fitting

If you’re late, you risk missing your game slot entirely.

• Athletic / comfortable clothing (you’ll be moving a lot)
• Closed-toe shoes with grip (required)
• Darker colors recommended if you don’t want to stand out
• Optional: bring a spare shirt—you may sweat

No heavy gear or props needed—everything is provided.

• You’re allowed to bring your own food and beverages
• No alcohol or substances allowed (you won’t be allowed to play)

• No outside Nerf guns or ammo allowed
• Lockers/storage are available on-site
• Designed for all ages, but this event is geared toward adults

• Anyone who wants something active and social
• People tired of typical bar nights
• Competitive people, casual players, and first-timers

No experience needed... you’ll figure it out fast. If you’ve ever thought “this would be fun as an adult”—you’re right.
