Motherhood Rituals of Care: Coloring for Compassion and Resilience

Who is this workshop for?

• Mamas and their children ages 5 years and up
• Childcare support provided for children younger than 5 years old (must RSVP, limited capacity)

Workshop Purpose/Intention:

Tend to our nervous systems by slowing down, coloring with themes of compassion and resilience, and feeding a collective field of creativity.

What to Expect:

Time to reflect with one another, color together in a sweet, soft and low pressure environment, and leave feeling more calm, faithful and inspired.

No prior knowledge or skill required. Materials provided.

Agenda:

• Arrival: 10-10:30am (time for getting settled, mingling and getting yourself a donation-based beverage from our friends Coffee Bueno popup!)
• Grounding together
• Check-in
• Share some context about the theme and the book
• Coloring
• Closing circle

About the Artist Facilitator:

Chetna Mehta (she/they) is a granddaughter of Indian and South African diasporas. As a multidisciplinary artist, facilitator, and creativity doula, she weaves somatic healing, decolonial/ecological frameworks, and expressive arts as liberatory practice. She is the founder of Mosaiceye Collective, creating resources, programs, and spaces where women and non-binary changemakers can fiercely soften into trust, play, transformation, and expansive collaboration. Chetna is the author and illustrator of The I Am Devoted Playbook, Cultivating Abundance Mentality Coloring Book and the new Cultivating Compassion in Times of Fascism Coloring Book.
