Mother Earth day is an annual day dedicated to the protection and support of Nature, and to raise awareness of environmental issues worldwide.
April 22nd begun as an environmental education day to honor the Earth and Peace and since then has been declared by the United Nations General Assembly as designated Mother Earth Day.
Today, Mother Earth Day is celebrated internationally by New Acropolis schools, through different environmental, educational, and social activities in hundreds of countries around the world.
Join us as we come together on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 to clean-up and beautify the public spaces and garden patches on the Ravenswood Corridor (between Irving Park to Montrose) and to give back to our environment.
Volunteers will meet at 11 AM in the front of the building for a light snack, opening words, instructions and distribution of tasks and equipment.
Volunteers will clean and garden the designated areas by Ravenswood and the Metra tracks.
We will collect all the garbage and equipment at the end of the event and finish with hot and cool drinks and a few short summary words.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their gardening tools (gloves, rakes, shovels, ect.).
Volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle, hat, comfortable shoes and working clothes.
Starting at: 11 AM, 4001 N. Ravenswood Ave.

* In case of rain or snow the event will be rescheduled to Sunday April 28th at the same time.
