Moth Night at Seabourne Creek Nature Park

Celebrate the final night of the Texas Pollinator Bioblitz* with an evening of moths, magic, and discovery!
Saturday, November 1
5:00PM–10:00 PM
Seabourne Creek Nature Park
Blacklighting stations will be set up to attract moths and other fascinating nighttime insects. Come see what emerges after dark!
Never used iNaturalist? No problem! An iNaturalist Ambassador and Texas Master Naturalists will be on hand to help you learn how to photograph, identify, and record your discoveries.
Bring your curiosity—and a flashlight—and help us discover the amazing nighttime pollinators of Seabourne Creek! This entire event will be outside, so make sure to dress accordingly. A long-sleeve shirt, pants, long socks, closed-toe shoes, and a neck gaiter or hat and bug spray (apply in the parking lot) are all strongly encouraged.
Park in the parking lot and proceed up the path towards the Native Plant Garden (NPG). We will have blacklight stations set up in the Butterfly Garden, NPG, Prairie and Wetlands areas.

Lastly, please bring your own flashlight or headlamp. Other supplies needed for mothing and our other stations will be provided. While you will be able to stay until 10pm, you may leave at any time during this event.
