DESCRIPTION: Each year, Midsumma Carnival brings back the audience favourites (yes, and the dog show) plus adding a pinch of lip-syncing, drag dazzling, stellar acts, fine food and a pop-up bar. The stage performances give you a peek at the upcoming festival program, with bite-sized performances. In 2023, the Carnival will again be held in Alexandra Gardens on the southern bank of Birrarung. This iconic outdoor celebration remains one of the biggest highlights in the LGBTIQA+ calendar.
The outstanding success from Motafrenz at Carnival 2022 was our picnic. We hope to build on this success in 2023, and we will again be picnicking under a big shady tree.
BRING: Bring your own lunch or buy something from the food vendors on-site, sun protection, and weather appropriate clothes
