That’s right, sad girl songs turned pop will soothe your soul with music of feminine power, rage and love. Ellen James, bush kid in the big smoke creates music with vulnerable lyricism and building melodies that cut in, open up and leave you to lament with love and loss, what is and what is not. Hailing from the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, James’ voice is at home both lilting from mountain tops and singing softly to river water. A self taught songwriter, who’s been haunting the streets of Melbourne for the past three years. Her strange unruly folk leaves sense of authentic chaos.
