Mosaic Pumpkin Class at Moonstone Art Studio with Beth Goulet
About this Event
Join us for a fun and creative 3-hour beginner-friendly mosaic class! You’ll learn the basics of working with glass mosaic tiles while creating your own beautiful 8-inch decorative pumpkin.
No previous mosaic experience is necessary. All materials are provided, and you’ll have a wide variety of colorful glass tiles to choose from as you design your one-of-a-kind pumpkin. You’ll also have the opportunity to cut glass using nippers, and a demonstration will be provided on how to safely use a wheel cutter to cut sheets of glass.
At the end of the class, you’ll have a beautiful mosaic pumpkin ready to display indoors or outdoors. Your piece will need to be grouted after the class. You have the option of coming to Moonstone the following Sunday (10/11) at 2 to grout your own, I will be showing you how to grout if you like, or I can grout it for you and you can pick it up. Grouting takes about 45 minutes or so. The grouting portion is included in the price of the class.
Please note: Glass mosaic pieces may have sharp edges. Care should be taken when handling the glass, and safety instructions will be provided throughout the class.
