About the instructor:
Holly Lapine is an Art Therapist and the Access Specialist at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. She facilitates programs designed to provide welcoming and engaging museum experiences for visitors on the autism spectrum, visitors living with memory loss and their care partners, and many other neurodivergent groups. These programs involve meaningful conversations inspired by artwork, with a focus on personal connections, memories & engagement through the senses.
Lapine received her Master's degree in Art Therapy from Ursuline College in Ohio and dual Bachelor's degrees in Art History and Psychology from the University of Rochester. She is also the founder of Artbeats, and her therapeutic studio art experience has been incorporated into other programs, such as "Sensing Art,” a program for Friendship Circle adults and children. This program draws inspiration from art history icons and often combines art and music to enhance cognitive function, tap into memories, and invigorate the soul.
