The final steps of a mosaic project can make all the difference. In this Technique Intensive, you'll learn the professional techniques for assembling, adhering, and finishing your mosaic so it looks beautiful and stands the test of time.

We'll explore the four primary methods of creating mosaics—Direct, Reverse, Mesh, and Face Tape—and discuss when each technique is most effective. You'll also learn how to choose the proper adhesive for indoor and outdoor projects, prepare and apply grout, and finish your work with confidence.

Discover how grout color influences the overall design, and even learn how to customize grout colors using pigments to complement your artwork.

Participants should bring a mosaic project that is ready for the finishing stage. Please contact the instructor before class if you have questions about your project.
