We’re thrilled to announce S3’s second show of the 2024 season is Robert Brustein’s "Mortal Terror," a show melding comedy with tragedy.
"Mortal Terror" is directed by Jamie Jelinek.
The play explores the tumultuous political climate of London in 1605, specifically, the Gunpowder Plot, a conspiracy to blow up the houses of parliament.
Amid all this, William Shakespeare is commissioned to write a new play that will become MacBeth.
Auditions for “Mortal Terror” take place Friday, July 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. with callbacks from 6 to 9 p.m. later that day on July 13. Auditions will be held at Spokane Children's Theatre.
Performances run from August 31 through September 15, with a weekend each in Manito Park, Riverfront Park and Sky Prairie Park.
Play Synopsis:
