🐸Morrison Crk Cleanup @ Cosumnes River Blvd, 11/5/26

Please join River City Waterway Alliance, Elk Grove Anti-Trash Volunteers and Sacramento Area Sewer District for this pre-winter cleanup along a beautiful, but trashed, stretch of Morrison Creek, upstream of the Bufferlands. This will be our last ditch effort to prevent piles of trash from washing into the nature preserve just downstream before the winter storms.
*** NEW MEETING LOCATION - We will meet in the RC Willey parking lot and caravan to the entry gate off Cosumnes River Blvd (38.4629882, -121.4647647) promptly at 9:00 am. Please arrive at RC Willey at least 15 minutes early so we can discuss our plan, assign carpool rides (if desired) and get everyone signed in! ***
AGE LIMIT: This event is not suitable for minors under 12 years old. Minors 12 and older are invited, but must be supervised by a responsible adult during the entire event.
We will provide bags, but please bring along your sturdy, mud-resistant footwear, waders (if you intend to enter the creek) grabbers, buckets, and gloves - a limited number of loaner buckets and grabbers may be available. Kayaks and canoes might be useful if you have them.
As with all events shared by RCWA, participation is performed solely at your own risk. Please place safety FIRST and do only what you feel comfortable doing. Moreover, participants will be required to sign a Release and Waiver form if they have not done so previously.
