Welcome to Melbourne! We're thrilled you're here.
We invite you to join us for a morning tea to celebrate the New Year and your arrival in Melbourne.
RMIT’s new Vice-Chancellor, Alec Cameron, will be in attendance and is excited to welcome you back to campus.
You’ll also hear from:
- RMIT’s careers team, about how they can help you search and apply for work,
- RMIT student volunteers about great social opportunities and events available through RMIT.
You’re also invited to take part in a free Melbourne walking tour following the morning tea, to get to know the hot spots around the city.

COVID-19 safety measures
The health and safety of the RMIT community remains our top priority and we continue to follow the latest Victorian Government pandemic orders.
Additionally, we have implemented several safety measures and protocols to protect the health and safety of everyone on campus and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Common, high-touch areas are cleaned multiple times a day and are also thoroughly cleaned overnight.
Hand sanitiser stations (wall mounted and free standing) are located at entrances and throughout RMIT buildings.
Air quality is important, and when combined with our broad range of COVIDSafe measures, contributes to our COVID safety. Facilities are operating building ventilation in line with the directions from the Department of Health.
Students and staff coming to campus must complete protocols before they attend campus and follow safety measures on campus.
