This class is perfect for those who are yoga-curious, but who have never taken the leap to try it. Come learn how your body structure supports movement in relation to gravity and non-gravity, and about the benefits of linking your breath to your movements through yoga practice. In Rest & Restore, we will utilize blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps for support. This class focuses on learning to relax the body in a way that promotes passive stretching. An emphasis is placed on breathing and stretching, as opposed to building up to extreme flexibility. This class is an excellent way to close out your week and prepare yourself for the weekend. This class is taught using evidence-based movement, methods and modalities. For Virtual:

About the instructor: Teresa graduated from the Lexington Healing Arts Academy in 2016 with her 200hour YTT Certificate. In 2018, she completed her 300 YTT certification through the Essence of Yoga Center under director Amanda McMaine & lead instructor Cara Sparkman. Teresa is registered as a ERYT500 & YACEP with the Yoga Alliance. She has also been certified in Yoga For Inner Peace with Colleen Saidman Yee and is Certified in Chakra Therapeutics with Dr. Alanna Kaivalya.
Teresa’s focus is on creating a safe, comfortable space for all of her students where they are free to be themselves in a peaceful and inclusive environment. She believes yoga should and can be for everybody and has arranged her studio in a way that allows students the freedom of movement and breath, following the eight limb path of Yoga. Her training allows for the teaching of proper spine alignment and the overall functionality of physical movement. Through proper breathing techniques, meditation, and movement, Teresa guides students through the movement of stagnant energy in order to heal old injuries, recognize poor posture habits, and balance out postural tendencies. Teresa believes that by connecting with ourselves and with others, we are able to live our own truth and create a life full of happiness and abundance.
