Morning Hike and Yoga
About this Event
The park is part of the transformation of Toronto’s waterfront, with new trails and green spaces that celebrate waterway restoration and reconciliation. Biidaasige, pronounced “bee daw si geh”, means “sunlight shining toward us” in Anishinaabemowin.
As part of the morning, we’ll pause for a 20 minute gentle Hatha yoga class outdoors led by hike leader and yoga teacher, Camara. The class will focus on simple movements and stretches and is suitable for complete beginners. No previous yoga experience is needed.
Please bring a yoga mat or blanket and wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in.
The hike will start promptly at 7am and will be concluded by 8.30am. Those interested can stay around for coffee at Dark Horse post hike.
This hike is a relaxed way to spend a weekday morning exploring a new part of the city, with some gentle movement along the way.
