MORNING CONTACT IMPROVISATION CLASSES in Barcelona - All TuesdaysClasses will be done by Pep Nebot in an amazing dance studio with a nice wooden floor. Depending on the group, CI material may be combined with acrobatic and vertical techniques. Find our contact details to make a reservation at the end of the text.
When: Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
Where: Carrer de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, 5, 2nd Floor, Gracia.
For whom: All levels. The content will be adapted based on participants' needs.

About Pep Nebot
DANCER
I began dancing in 2010 with Contact Improvisation, which remains the foundation of my journey as both a dancer, composer and teacher. Contemporary dance and acrobatics have also been and still are very inspiration sources of movement research. I am actively involved in creating dance choreographies that integrate elements of contemporary dance and Contact Improvisation and have participated in various video-art-dance projects.
I've trained with renowned CI teachers, including Nancy Stark Smith, Martin Keogh, Leilani Weiss, Sveta Bird, Itay Yatuv, Leonardo Lambruchini, Ramon Roig, Carmen Alcalde, Lucía Sánchez, Kira Kirsch, Noam Carmeli and many others. Also, my greatest learning comes from my own exploration and the countless dancers I’ve encountered and continue to encounter along the way.
DANCE TEACHER AND PRODUCER OF DANCE EVENTS
I have been teaching Contact Improvisation since 2020, leading intensives and workshops in Spain and France. Since 2015, he has been actively involved in organizing contemporary acrobatic dance intensives, Contact Improvisation festivals, jams and various dance events. He is also co-founder of the Festival International de Contact Improvisation En Provence in France, which has been held annually since 2017.

My Past: Lawyer, Entrepreneur & Rock Climber
I hold a degree in Business Administration and Law from the University of Barcelona. For many years, I worked as a lawyer, consultant, and entrepreneur, launching several businesses of my own.
Parallel to this, I spent 20 years practicing rock climbing and bouldering—a profoundly enriching period of my life that shaped my discipline, focus, and connection with nature. Eventually, however, dance captured my heart completely, and it became my path.
My Vision of Contact Improvisation

What draws me most to Contact Improvisation is its power to immerse me fully in the present moment, where only the fluid dialogue between body, space, and gravity exists. It is a continuous exploration of physicality—a constant play with weight, momentum, inertia, and the forces of nature.
I am equally fascinated by the subtle investigation of touch: the intimate connection that emerges through shared weight, both with others and within oneself, sensing the body from the inside out.
There is also a poetic dimension that arises from movement—a silent narrative that unfolds with every gesture, every fall, every encounter with another body or the ground. In this spontaneous flow, dance becomes a language beyond words, capable of expressing truths that cannot be said otherwise.
I feel a deep need to dance with CI practitioners of all levels, from beginners to professionals, as every encounter is both a lesson and a shared journey into poetry.
