The family-owned Morgenster Winery is situated at the foot of the Helderberg and Hottentots Mountains near the town of Somerset West, and is known for its authentic and complex wines as well as for its excellent Olive oils. Furthermore, Morgenster was a pioneer in the 1990s and paved the way for South Africa's Olive oil culture with his innovative concept of growing Olives in addition to wine. The untreated Olives are cold pressed and filtered and the resulting Olive oils are highly regarded worldwide with their unique aromas of mint, sage and lemon.
The Level Four Restaurant Team will be joined by Morgenster Winemaker Matthew Anderson. Enjoy Sangiovese, some Nebiolo and then the Noble grape varieties of Morgenster grown on soils with expressive minerality, and optimally ripened in close proximity to the cooling effects of False Bay.
