Morgan Casting | Audition Intensive Class for Models | Sat. May 23rd

Matthew Morgan of Morgan Casting is excited to host his Actors Audition Intensive & Self Tape Class here in TORONTO on Saturday, May 23rd. This is event is catered to models transitioning into acting and those who wish to step-up their audition game.

Morgan started his career as a print casting director and worked mostly with models for several years (in both fashion and commercial advertising) before moving into feature films. As such, Matthew is a natural fit to help models make the transition from modeling to acting. This class will offer you the best tools to confidently maneuver your way in the world of (auditioning for) film and television and commercials.

Matthew will give you the inside scoop on what casting directors look for when hiring actors. How do you make a great impression and stand out with your self tape OR at a live audition or virtual callback? He'll pass along his best tips!

This class will also focus on the process of self tapes.
What to do if given little or no direction. The outputs needed to make a great tape (at home). Plus we'll talk about actor choices that make your tapes memorable.

Want feedback directly from a casting director on your performance? Ready for a redirect? This is your chance.

ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED (OPTIONAL AND NOT REQURIED) TO COME PREPARED WITH A 60-90 sec. monologue of choice or any other audition piece. Could be a commercial or film script with reader, etc.

We will wrap up the day with 15-30 minutes of Q&A, your chance to ask Matthew & his team whatever you like.

Matthew is an American and Canadian casting director & proudly a member of both CDC & CSA. He has cast numerous feature films across North America and numerous commercials and TV series as well. Hear some of the best tips from someone with international casting insight and extensive experience working in many genres of casting: television, commercials, print and feature film (in both Canada and the United States). Matthew has cast features for and worked with directors James Franco, Alison Eastwood, John Krasinski , Tate Taylor & Paul Schrader to name a few.

This class will prepare models for the realities of the auditioning process.
