More Than a Birth Partner: Practical ways to prepare together for labor and the first days with Amanda and Toffer Barta
Your partner wants to help—but what actually helps when labor gets real? Amanda, a birth doula, and her husband Toffer have been on both sides of that question. They’re parents of five, with hospital and homebirth experience, and they’ve taught this class together for more than six years. In this warm, practical workshop they’ll share how partners can prepare together. We’ll explore the body’s birth hormones, the changing rhythm of labor, simple ways to offer support, how to stay connected through the intense moments, and how to make those first days with baby feel a little less like “now what?” Expect real talk, practical ideas, and a few laughs from the partner’s side of the birth room.
