John DePaola has been a musician at Walt Disney World and Rosie O’Grady’s "Goodtime" Jazz Band. John has performed with entertainers such as Ray Charles, Sammy Davis Jr., Bob Hope, Johnny Mathis, Kenny Rogers, Frank Sinatra Jr., The Moody Blues, and many others. John is a frequent performer at jazz festivals with different groups and leads his own group, performing for Jazz clubs and societies in Florida. David MacKenzie is originally from the Atlantic City area where he studied with such local luminaries as George Mesterhazy, Bob Martin and Dennis Sandole in Philadelphia. After a tenure of lounge and show work he relocated to the Orlando area with his wife, Georgia, in 1989. He has since played and arranged for such groups as Vivacity, the Orlando Jazz Orchestra, and the Dr. Phillips Jazz Orchestra.
This More Jazz Club event is for residents of The Villages and guests with a visitor pass. Doors open at 5:30pm. We have seating with tables and chairs, and you may bring your own beverage and snacks. Admission is $15 for member or $20 for non-members. Annual dues to become a member is only $10.
