Wir präsentieren einen FFM JAM-Zusatztermin mit drei Bands aus drei Ecken des Spektrums und aus drei Himmelsrichtungen der Region. Natürlich von Frankfurt aus gesehen...!Ein abwechslungsreicher Abend mit drei hochklassigen Bands. Rohe Energie, 3 stimmiger Satzgesang, Gitarren-Kunst - alles dabei!
The Rhino (Mainz) - Garage, Energy, Psychedelic
Rock’n’Roll-Sound mit all der Energie, die ein Trio aufbringen kann – The Rhino ist keine Band, die nebenbei passiert, The Rhino ist laut: Brüllender Bass, preschende Drums, dreckige Gitarre und donnernde Stimmen. The Rhino machen Garage-Rock, der eingängig und roh, aber dennoch komplex ist. Wie das Nashorn ist ihre Musik sanft und im nächsten Moment plötzlich gewaltig und wild. Einflüsse aus dem Blues, Psychedelic- und Stoner-Rock formen hier eine Mischung, die selbst in ihren ruhigen Momenten hochgefährlich bleibt. Auch wenn dem Sound eine typisch amerikanische Klangästhetik innewohnt, spielt The Rhino ständig mit Elementen nicht-westlicher Musik, die dem staubigen 70er-Sound neues Leben einhauchen.

Wolf Prayer (RP) - Fuzz, Desert, Stoner
create a variation of dry-to-the-bone-riffing and atmospheric sound bits that invite you to start dreaming until their fuzzy guitars, the characteristic and versatile vocals, the strong hypnotic bass lines and the hard drum beats wake you up.
With their debut album they invite its listeners to close their eyes and join a trip with the band through atmospheric soundscapes, hard riffs and hypnotic melodies. Accompanied by lyrics, in which the band members deal with loss, desire and new beginnings and try to process the past, the music is still their priority. Due to their fuzzy style, their songs clearly remind you of the stoner rock genre, but they can’t and won’t be nailed down, which is portrayed on the album by experimental and surprising song parts.
