About this Event
This event will bring together leading clinicians and performance experts to explore the interdisciplinary care of athletes across multiple sports. Presentations will cover surgical and rehabilitation considerations for hockey, basketball, and performing arts athletes, as well as the role of sports performance and nutrition in optimizing recovery and return to play.
Featured speakers include Dr. Shane Nho, who will discuss surgical considerations for the hockey athlete; Dr. Jeremy Alland, who will review treatment strategies for basketball athletes; and Dr. Simon Lee, who will present on surgical considerations unique to performing arts athletes. Dave Heidloff, ATC, FRC-MS, PES will examine the role of sports performance in athlete rehabilitation, while Kirsten Straughan, MS, RD, CSSD will highlight how nutrition supports recovery and performance during rehabilitation.
The program will also include perspectives from sports psychologists, strength and conditioning coaches, and sports physical therapists to provide a comprehensive discussion on interdisciplinary care and return to sport testing, with considerations for both upper and lower extremity athletes.
Participants will earn 8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) upon completion of the course.
