Moose Loon is the solo project of Ryan Anderson (Bendigo Fletcher). On his debut EP set to release on September 12, Anderson relies heavily on acoustic guitar to weave together stories fit for the front porches and barn floors of his native Kentucky. Building on a foundation of bluegrass country, soulful vocals, and lyrics that invite feelings to be felt, Anderson doesn't miss an opportunity to throw in a weird chord or a line that gives attention to supernatural curiosities, which tend to lead the listening imagination from a pastoral setting into a realm beyond it. It is here where influences such as Loudon Wainwright III, Michael Hurley, and countless Kentucky contemporaries intersect to bring a fresh, occasionally freaky flavor of folk storytelling out of a geographical region that seems to be constantly overflowing with creativity and great music.
10th Street Dre is the frontman of the black art trio “Producing A Kind Generation”. He describes his solo work as “a guy complaining while fumbling around on a guitar”. To him, “music is merely a means of connection and shouldn’t be taken any more or less seriously than social drinking”.
"Alexander W.G. Rickel is an artist of physical matter, light, and vibration. Normally fronting the band FUTURE KILLER as well as playing supportive roles with Lacey Guthrie’s Flower Eating Monster and Unblown Balloon, his fuzzy bass and heartfelt vocals have permeated the Louisville music scene for nearly two decades. When solo, he can be seen effectuating anything from groove based outdated electronic pianos, sequencers, and drum machines, to the simplicity of an unplugged nylon string guitar, to query-inducing experimental soundscapes set in unexpected settings. Rickel is an enigma sent from another realm to question the assumed and engage the human experience through sight and sound."
